General Practitioner (GP) vacancy – Townsville, North Queensland
This practice located in the suburb of Kirwan, is seeking an experienced General Practitioner/Family Physician. Ideally the practice would like to fill the vacancy with a vocationally registered doctor, however experienced and suitably trained applicants are welcome to apply.
About the practice:
Open 6 days per week and is a mixed billing practice
Mixed and varied patient base including Diving Medicals, Immunisations, Medical Assessments, and Vaccinations (WorkCover claims, DVA and nursing home patients)
Current AGPAL accreditation
Fully computerised practice utilizing PracSoft and MD
Complemented by nearby allied health services and pharmacy
Onsite pathology
Comprehensive administration and nursing support
Walking distance to shopping centres and schools

Eligible applicants must:
Have substantial demonstrated and recent clinical experience
Be experienced in wide range of adult and paediatric patient presentations
Have an interest in settling in the area with a commitment to at least 36 months
Preference is given to doctors with current general/specialist registration with Medical Board of Australia. However applicants with postgraduate General Practice (GP) qualifications, plus a minimum of three (3) years of full-time postgraduate overseas GP experience are welcome to apply.
